The following is the weekly word study schedule that students will follow for spelling.
MONDAY- RAINBOW WORDS
Write each word three times each in a different color.
TUESDAY- DICTATION
Use each word in a sentence.
WEDNESDAY- SPEED SORT
Sort your words with your parents, friends, or family members. Now glue them under the correct headings. Try to think of 3 other words that are not in our word sort, but share the same word features.***IF WE DO NOT HAVE HEADINGS, MS.EVANS WILL SPECIFY WEDNESDAY H.W.***
THURSDAY- MOCK SPELLING TEST
Do a writing sort in preparation for the test on Friday. Your parent will call the words to you in random order, and you will write them down under the correct heading. Recall any misspelled words. You may do this on loose-leaf paper, but it does not have to be turned in*
