The schedule is as follows:

Reading(Online)………….November 11&12
***There will be a first nine weeks test given for S.S. that will be collected as a unit test grade***
The end of the first nine weeks is just around the corner. Your child will be receiving study guides next week to prepare for the upcoming testing. Please take time to review old classwork, quizzes, tests, notes, and study guides to prepare your child for their first round of check point assessments. Also review student resources on the third grade webpage to assist with interactive items. These tests will not be included in students' report card grades, but they will be used as a means of data to prepare them for the VA SOL's in the fourth quarter this year.

If you haven't done so yet, please use your parent code to sign up for Class Dojo. Codes went home two weeks ago in your child's weekly red folder. This is a wonderful teacher-parent communication tool that will help parents receive feedback on their child specifically. Our class will be moving into the money unit around the end of October. Please help our class move into our money unit by donating empty dry good boxes (cereal boxes,Hamburger Helper boxes, fruit snacks boxes), laundry detergent bottles, and expired can goods for our class "store" center. In this center, one student will serve as the consumer and another student will work as the cashier. The students will practice addition and subtraction skills and manipulate coins and bills to "purchase" items from the store.
